Day Trips From Pattaya - Si Rachaposted on 11 April 2010 | posted in Pattaya Day Trips Si Racha is situated between Bangkok and Pattaya - closer to Pattaya at just 45 minutes away by bus. If you're sick of the touristy feel of Pattaya, then Si Racha truly gives you an authentic view of Thailand. After 30 minutes of walking the streets of Si Racha, you will start to wonder : am I invisible? This is because people leave you alone here. Si Racha is not a tourist town, but it certainly has its attractions. You can go to Ko Loi which is an island joined by a long bridge road. There you can visit a beautiful temple (Wat Ko Loi) and see the dozens of large turtles swimming in the nearby pond. It's also Si Racha's pier for Ko Si Chang if you want to hop over to that beautiful island. There's also the Tiger Zoo about 15 minutes tuk-tuk drive from the town centre. Si Racha also has a beautiful park where you can watch the sunset, and many great Japanese and Korean restaurants (as many Japanese and Koreans live in Si Racha). If you want something different, consider going to Si Racha for a day trip - it's the perfect antidote to the commercialism of Pattaya.
